About the job/team
You will perform and oversee the preparation of annual financial statements under Lux GAAP and IFRS to clients within the Commercial, Industrial & Public Sector. By leading, coordinating and developing a team of Assistant, you will develop and maintain productive working relationships with both your team and your clients to assess clients' satisfaction.
You will be engaged in the coordination of the daily work at client site and to inform supervisors of the engagement status while managing the staff performance. Furthermore, you adapt the audit approach to the changing client environment.
You demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts and apply them to different client situations. For this role, we are looking for a native level German speaker to serve our German speaking clients accordingly.
On an interpersonal side, you will develop junior staff members through effectively delegating tasks by providing training and guidance to enhance their performance. Furthermore, you will be providing feedback and conduct performance reviews. You are engaged by contributing ideas and opinions to the audit teams by taking into consideration other team members' views. Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery. Maintain an educational program to continually develop skills.
Develop an understanding of Ernst & Young's service lines and actively seek/encourage team members to contribute ideas and identify opportunities to apply the firm's services.
About you
We are looking for an organized and flexible employee with excellent communication skills who can work as a team player and is able to manage a Team.

To qualify for the role, you must have
  • You hold a Degree in Business Administration, ideally with focus on Audit, Accounting or Controlling or an equivalent certification (ACCA, ICAS, CPA etc.);
  • You have at least 2-3 years of relevant experience in the audit of industrial, commercial and public companies either in a local Big 4 firm or a smaller audit firm
  • You have proven exceptional interpersonal skills that have resulted in business relationships of trust, confidence and top results
  • You demonstrate excellent written communication and presentation skills
  • You are fluent in English and German
  • You show well established organization, multitasking and prioritization skills
