An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our Infection Prevention Team. Required to work to a very high standard of accuracy, you will have excellent organisational skills and be able to demonstrate initiative in planning your own workload, in a way that supports the Infection Prevention Team in keeping to deadlines.
The post holder will work as part of the Infection Prevention and Control Team, providing high quality and accurate data to meet the needs of the IPC service and York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will be responsible for the smooth running of all surveillance systems and processes for the IPCT, providing administration functions, developing and leading clinical audit projects, and timely, accurate mandatory reporting of Health Care Acquired Infection and other Department of Health surveillance programmes.
Our small team is friendly and supportive. We have a strong background in training and developing those new to infection prevention and control, in which the post holder would be required to actively participate. You will act as a role model to motivate others, ensuring all Trust infection prevention and control policies and procedures are complied with.
The successful applicant will have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Excel applications, and have the ability to manage and complete tasks to deadlines is essential, as are enthusiasm, flexibility, diplomacy and excellent interpersonal skills. You will be based in York, but with the expectation for cross site working.
