This position involves a number of different aspects including:
Assignments will be undertaken both in the office and at client's premises. Apprentices will have support and on the job training from managers and other senior staff. During your training you will be expected to develop an understanding of the practical issues involved in delivering a high-quality service to clients.

Desired qualifications
To achieve the qualification and to consistently give the best and most up to date advice to clients, you will need to be competent at studying and passing exams. Your historic academic or professional results are used as a guide when shortlisting however we will also consider other factors such as experience, other qualifications and skills. As an indicator for the following qualifications we look for the following grades:
AAT- Ideally a minimum of 5 GCSE's (or equivalent) mostly at Grade A*-B / 9 - 5, including Maths and English and a minimum of 2 A Levels (or equivalent) grade A*- B.
ACA / ACCA -Ideally a minimum of a 2:1 in your degree or equivalent, although the subject of your degree is not important. We also look for A/B grades at both GCSE and A Levels.
Future prospects
Satisfactory completion of an Advanced Apprenticeship in Accounting will be expected to lead on to progression to the Certificate level of the ICAEW or ACCA qualification.
Students who have already taken AAT Level 3 prior to joining the Firm will complete AAT Level 4 before progressing to the Certificate level of the ICAEW or ACCA qualification.
First time passes on all exams will be a pre-requisite for progression to subsequent professional exams.
Things to consider
Need to use a local carpark if driving or the office is right on the train line.
- Preparing financial statements for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders
- Preparing tax computations
- Providing bookkeeping services
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Filing Companies House and H M Revenue & Customs documents on client's behalf
