Hays is excited to be working with a large international organization based in Central Birmingham which is close to public transport links. They have offices in over 19 cities world wide and are fast growing which is why they are looking to recruit an Accounts Payable Team Leader/Manager.
Your new role
You will be accountable for managing and leading a team within the accounts payable function. You will be required to lead and motivate differing levels of accounts payable staff while implementing standardized ways of operating, reporting and driving out efficiencies are fundamental to the success of the role. You will be required to design and implement a team structure to meet the demands of the business. You have to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and internal controls, ensuing SOX compliance is effective. Carrying out effective one to one meetings with the team to ensure their progress is a key part of the role.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you must be a highly motivated person who can ensure that the team is engaged and motivated and making consistent progress. You must be proactive with the way that you work and have a sense of authority over the team. You must have excellent people management skills and be able to provide honest and effective feedback to all team members to help with their development. You must have a minimum of 5 years Accounts Payable experience.
