Finance Manager - Rents (Housing)

One of the larger London housing Associations providing affordable homes for Londoners. This role sits within the rents team.

Your new role

The Finance manager will ensure the team deliver complete and accurate rent accounting across the group. This role sits in the rents team in which very large volumes of rental income and housing benefit are processed.

• You will manage a team of 4 Finance Officers and 1 Supervisor to deliver an excellent service to the organisation. You will work with colleagues across the organisation to manage all things rent related from Housing Benefit to credit refunds. You will have responsibility for ensuring all rental income from the various different income streams is posted in a timely manner.
• If successful you will lead on projects related to continuous improvement of processes across the team. These will be around financial control and best practice.
• The role involves liaison with multiple and sometimes senior stakeholders. There is a constant list of urgent demands and the manager - You will manage the team and you will be responsible for liaising with managers across the organisation to provide advice and support to ensure compliance to financial regulations is maintained.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have experience within a housing finance team - ideally with experience around rents management.
The client is happy to consider candidates taking a sideways move if looking for a change or someone taking a small step up.
