Job Purpose

We are currently recruiting for a competent and versatile person to fill a new Audit Administration role for the Central Government and Defence Business Unit (CG & D BU). The role would eminently suit somebody who is looking to start their career in a HSE/Compliance environment, as the incumbent will gain valuable experience, and will be mentored and provided with relevant training courses to support and aid career development. The successful candidate will be based in our office in Weybridge and will be required to complete a security check upon appointment.

Responsibilities
  • To support the IFM HS&E team at Weybridge (APHA) and help deliver one HS&E Strategy.
  • Assist on a weekly basis a pre-audit for site buildings in line with the Condition Audit Process (CAVs)
  • Help in closing out non conformity generated from the audit process.
  • Assist in fostering working relationships with key client personnel, understand their requirements and share the knowledge across all businesses as appropriate.
  • Help and assist to maintain training records and competences.
  • Work with the team to manage training records and competences.
  • Assist in the analysis of HSE performance and input to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support the use of the web based HSE systems. (IMS)
  • Any other duties deemed suitable
  • Technician membership of IOSH or working towards achieving this (desirable but not essential)
  • Some experience in carrying out audits and/or inspections would be beneficial.
  • Experience with HSE biased activities or undertaking some form of Health and Safety related role.
  • Security clearance will be required by the successful candidate, CTC clearance may be requested later.

Knowledge & Experience
  • Administrative experience from a Quality Assurance background.
  • Environmental / Sustainability awareness
  • Health & Safety awareness
  • Administrative experience from an Auditing and Inspection background
  • Facility management background would be beneficial.

Skills & Abilities
  • Have an understanding of HSE and some knowledge in a way that delivers practical, business led solutions.
  • Able to communicate at all levels to company personnel.
  • Able to work alone and also within a team environment.
  • Good IT skills and familiar with all mainstream IT support systems.

Personal Qualities
  • The understanding to deal effectively with sensitive issues with a high level of discretion.
  • Can work with all levels of Interserve personnel, clients, customers and supply chain.
  • An ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Drive and enthusiasm to deliver key goals and objectives.
  • Have a good team working spirit but also capable of rising to challenge.
