Client Details
Our client is a PLC that is looking for high calibres to join their team.
Description
• To ensure the Company's Financial Accounts are in accordance with Statutory Requirements, Malaysian
Accounting Standards and compliance with Bursa requirements.
• Responsible to co-ordinate and produce the consolidated accounts for the group.
• Manage the preparation and distribution of the group consolidated financial statement, quarterly results and
Bursa announcement papers, maintaining the highest quality, reliability and accuracy.
• Prepare ad-hoc financial reporting as and when required.
• To monitor of overall company status, turnover, revenue records, cash flow, various financial statistics.
• To liaise with financial institution, procurement and monitoring of banking facilities.
• To liaise with contracts / operation on projections of project cash flow, budget, payment, claims, expenses, to
maintain a healthy financial situation.
• To liaise with various authorities e.g. Income tax, tax agent, auditors, etc.
• Oversee monthly and year end closing process, including reconciliations and analysis of related accounts.
• Develop and maintain the integrity of the financial reporting process and financial controls. Maintain and
strengthen internal controls over financial reporting
• Coordinate, develop and update written policies and procedures over the financial reporting process.
• Develop and maintain Group accounting policies.
• Research and resolve accounting issues including evaluation and implementation of new accounting
pronouncements to ensure compliance with Statutory Requirements, Malaysian Accounting Standards and
Bursa requirements.
• Provide technical support in terms of accounting to the Finance Team.
• Coordinate the Company's annual audit with the independent auditors and prepare annual report.
• Manage communications with external auditors on external financial statements and accounting issues to
ensure auditor agreement with company decisions on accounting disclosures, and issues.
Profile
• Degree in accounting / professional qualification in CIMA, ACCA, MIA or MACP or related fields
• Minimum 6 years in financial accounting and management
• Mature, analytical, creative, solution oriented and able to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiating, time management and leadership skills
• Possess business and social acumen to interact well with staff, bankers and clients.
