Are you a skilled finance professional looking for an opportunity in the finance field? Robert Half Finance and Accounting is currently trying to staff a critical need for a Senior Financial Analyst for one of their clients in the the Philadelphia area. Cultivating data-driven planning processes and improving upon monthly and quarterly reporting will be some of your responsibilities as Senior Financial Analyst. In this Senior Financial Analyst role, you will develop rolling forecast processes to ensure resources are leveraged with maximum effectiveness, drive world class strategic and financial planning methods, and build long-range operating plans to support business initiatives. You will give explanations for business reasons for variances and adjusting the outlook models to reflect operational adjustments, as well as, provide variance analysis of bookings, revenues and expenses. As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will be in charge of the coordination of various planning cycles (quarterly forecasts, annual planning, and monthly outlooks) while providing strategic analyses and recommendations. Your responsibilities
• Provide financial modeling and rolling-forecast in support of strategy development and execution of overall US objectives
• Work with project managers to ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition reporting
• Prepare and/or present analyses, budgets and forecasts to all levels of management.
• Run and review labor hours by department, sending out summaries to department heads to review their labor hours by client.
• Responsible for analyzing actual labor hours versus budgeted labor hours for contract proposals in order to cost out future contracts more accurately.
• Performs other costing, pricing, competitive and ad hoc analysis as needed in support of business development and manufacturing activities
• Track and analyze capital spending planning


The ideal Senior Financial Analyst candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Finance or Accounting, MBA or CPA preferred.

Other requirements for the Senior Financial Analyst position include and are not limited to:
• 4++ years of financial analysis experience.
• Strong Microsoft Office Skills (specifically Microsoft Excel)
• Display sound analytical judgment and business acumen under limited time and data constraints
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary
