Job Description
Accountemps is partnered with a widely recognized and prominent company within the aviation industry that is seeking a Cost Accountant on a contract basis with the potential to turn into a full time position! The Cost Accountant will work independently with minimal supervision and be responsible for the following:
- Month-end close including journal entries, system processes, intercompany activity, and financial reporting
- Process Accounts Payable check runs (weekly)
- Manage vendor activity to ensure timely payment
- Prepare account reconciliations for disbursement, inventory, PP&E, accounts payable, intercompany, and other accrued liabilities
- Responsible for labor timekeeping and payroll activities
- Confirm intercompany transactions
- Develop monthly billings for plant activity to the end customer
- Prepare monthly cost analysis of material and labor
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- Must be available for a 9 day/ 80 hour schedule; 1st week Mon - Thurs 9 hours and 8 hours Friday - 2nd week Mon - Thurs 8 hours
- Bachelors degree in accounting or equivalent
- CPA preferred
- 5 -10 years experience in similar role
- 10% domestic travel
- SAP knowledge a huge plus
- Deltek applications highly preferred (Costpoint, COGNOS, T&E)
- Highly organized, analytical, and problem solving skills
