Job Description

Accountabilities to the Finance Sr. Mgr.

• Completes month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, monthly reporting, and variance analysis

• Coordinates preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts

• Provides financial support to various functions, teams and departments

• Liaise with Supply Chain, Manufacturing and other Business Units

• Liaise with Accounting, Ops Consolidation FP&A and Site FP&A teams

• Ensures accuracy of plan and actual financial data in financial system(s)



• Completes month-end close activities as per guidance from Site Finance Lead. Activities include but are not limited to:

-Prepares journal entries and accruals

-Leads GL level variance analysis and reconciliation

-Updates monthly budget report for cost center owners

-Prepares monthly reporting for Site Finance Lead

-Partner with the business to understand deviations from budget

• Coordinates, enters and consolidates annual budget and quarterly forecast submissions in Hyperion/SAP and completes variance analysis.

• Partners with the business to get all relevant company data required to develop reliable budget and forecasts

• Tracks and monitors site capital project expenditures; provide updates for capital project dashboard reviewed in Project Governance meetings

Project Activities

• Provide guidance to business on setup for system coding, tracking and collecting necessary financial data for government grants and reporting

• Provides financial inputs to PWC for quarterly GST submissions

• Finance delegate for new product set up and system functionality

• Provides support for internal/external audits and projects, as needed

The knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of this position are typically acquired through the following combination of education, experience and knowledge, or the equivalent.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Economics or Business Administration

• At least 3-5 years experience in similar position(s) in an international environment

• Experience in accounting, budgeting and planning

• Fluency in English, both in written and oral communication

• Proficiency with ERP system(s) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

• Technical knowledge of accountancy (local country accounting principles), relevant laws, local taxes and accounting systems/processes

Preferred Requirements

Technical Capability and Experience

• MBA and/or CPA highly desirable

• Studies specialized in Finance/Accounting (financial analysis, controlling, accounting)

• Biotechnology or Pharmaceutical experience preferred

• Experience with SAP, EDW, Oracle/Hyperion planning and reporting

• Basic knowledge of US GAAP
