Roles & Responsibilities

The general ledger accountants responsible for compliance with US GAAP and internal reporting requirements.

Closing Activities

  • Responsible for all accounting tasks for the nominated entities in accordance with US GAAP requirements and Ashland accounting policies
  • Loading financial Statements of Non-SAP entities into SAP
  • Perform manual load reconciliations for Non-SAP entities loaded into SAP
  • Posting of revenue recognition related accruals, e.g. shipped not billed, Contract related, Deferred Revenue etc.
  • Posting of standard entries as part of the month end closing
  • Posting of profit center and cost center reclassifications requested by business analysts and accounting
  • Preparation of reports for analysis by controllers, SOX trends, Allocation schedules etc.
  • Preparation of Balance Sheet Accounts reconciliations
  • Any ad-hoc reports to be used by the controllers for statistical and/or statutory reporting
