Overview & Responsibilities

At General Mills, our Senior Financial Analysts provide business leadership and financial expertise to our partners in Marketing, Supply Chain, and Sales. As such, this analyst position plays an integral role on our cross-functional business teams.

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who will support our Meals & Baking business (Key Brands: Pillsbury, Betty Crocker, Old El Paso, Annie's, etc). The individual will play a key role in driving BU financial operations and performance. They will be responsible for tracking, monitoring & presentation of in year financial performance and key drivers. Provide financial expertise for NPI launches, with full ownership of business model, actively partnering with functions to drive alignment & providing a holistic perspective on impact to overall financials. They will also lead execution of the Annual planning process and Long range business model build & analysis.

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be expected to demonstrate the following key competencies:
  • Business Partnership: Translate insights into action plans that deliver short and long-term business results. Operate cross-functionally and utilize your influence skills to develop and implement business strategy. Prepare and present analysis of business initiatives, evaluate financial feasibility and consistency with overall company objectives. Develop accurate financial forecasts.
  • Financial Leadership : Provide financial leadership to improve analytical and reporting processes. Consistently demonstrate depth of technical and financial knowledge. Lead, participate and support projects within Finance, as well as cross-functional initiatives. Enhance accounting, planning and reporting processes to increase effectiveness. Ensure adequate tracking and monitoring is in place to deliver financial commitments. Prepare and analyze monthly profit and loss results, compare actual results to budget and prior periods and evaluate financial status. Optimize accounting, planning and reporting systems.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business Administration required
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience
  • Superior analytical, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player who is able to influence others within the business and functional
  • Prior CPG experienced preferred
