Senior Bookkeeper

Your new company
A distinguished professional practice firm in the heart of the CBD is currently seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to join their team. You'll work closely with the Business Services division to provide outsourced services to a range of clients across multiple industries. This company has a varied product offering and it will provide a respectful and challenging environment to an individual seeking a change.

Your new role
You'll report through to the Director and your duties will include:

• Managing multiple clients alongside two other bookkeepers, including; providing general accounting advice on software updates, standards and transactional queries
• Assisting with software implementations and providing direct client training
• Accounts payable entry, matching and payments
• Accounts receivable including; receipting payments and some debt collection
• End to end payroll processing including; Superannuation, WorkCover, Payroll Tax, PAYG calculations etc.
• Statutory tax preparation - BAS, IAS etc.
• Accruals, reconciliations and end of month processes
• Basic financial reporting, assisting with management reports and budgeting
• Other accounting tasks as required by clients

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience working within an accounting firm as a bookkeeper or previous experience managing your own portfolio of clients
• A working knowledge of Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks is desirable
• BAS registration, Degree/Diploma in Accounting or Bookkeeping or software certifications are highly regarded but are not essential
