Would you like to become part of the Finance Team within in the COO (Chief Operating Office) business? We currently have a vacancy for an Assistant Costbase Accountant at our site in Warton.
As an Assistant Costbase Accountant, you will support the Costbase Accountant and Senior Finance Manager in the provision of accurate cost base information and reporting.
This role will provide you with growth and development within the Defence Information team. There is a dedicated career path and you can move up and across in terms of progression in teams.
Your main responsibilities as an Assistant Costbase Accountant will involve:
Supporting the costbase accountant in building effective relationships to provide and receive the information that is required in a timely manner and to the required standard.
Preparing and communicating the reporting timetable and work with various teams to ensure full understanding of requirements and provision of timely and accurate information.
Supporting the coordination of reforecast cycles in line with COO requirements
Assisting with planning and executing the monthly COO costbase reporting cycle in line with COO and Air Sector timescales allowing sufficient time to review within senior management.
Assisting with the COO submission of the Integrated Business Plan (IBP).
Co-Ordinating the balance sheet review process for COO, including monthly reviews with senior management and quarterly with FD
Supporting with other AD HOC duties
Your skills and qualifications:
Qualified or part qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, AAT) or equivalent
Experience within accountancy environment
Experience of presenting to clients and stakeholders
Strong communication skills at all levels
Understanding of the different financial systems (preferably Infor LN and TM1/COGNOS business toolset but not essential)
Proficient in using MS Office Package, especially Excel
