The Business Risk and Controls Analyst is a developing professional role with an emphasis on remediating the operational risks of the business through facilitating controls or controls monitoring. The role requires attention to detail and typically deals with variable risk and control issues with potentially broader business impact. The role will involves direct interaction with business seniors which requires clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, advanced Excel and PowerPoint skill will also be very beneficial.

Responsibilities:
  • Collection and reporting of various BCMA MCA monitoring metrics and other Controls-related deliverables
  • Performing quality assurance on controls reporting and metrics
  • Follow up on various controls related tasks to ensure business is meeting requirements (e.g. training)
  • Required to liaise with business and line control officers on any deficiencies or control gaps as well as ensuring appropriate remedial actions are in place where deficiencies are identified
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years relevant experience in administrative, risk and controls, compliance, audit or regulatory functions
  • Experience in working with the various risk and control systems and reporting requirements
  • Project management skills. Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask and adapt to change
  • Problem solver with the ability to translate plans in actions
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented
Education:
  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
