Finatal are currently working with a Private Equity backed specialist infrastructure services business to source an impressive CFO with extensive experience of project accounting and project finance. The business helps install and maintain connectivity and power services on behalf of its clients and its revenue is approaching £100m with a healthy EBITDA margin.
As CFO, you will be an integral part of the main Executive Board, business partner with the CEO and COO and work closely with the rest of the senior leadership team to set and implement strategic goals to help to drive the business forward. At the same time, you will ensure processes, systems and controls that are currently in place are strong enough for future scalability and take action to make necessary improvements where needed. You will manage a small team of very capable finance professionals yet again you will need to ensure that you have adequate resource in place for future anticipated growth.
You will have a laser-like focus on project accounting ensuring finance transactions related to managing both short (3-6 months) and longer-term projects include relevant costs, billing and revenue. You will track project costs in addition to billing and set appropriate revenue recognition methods to determine project profitability.
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA or equivalent) and have previously worked within a sector where project accounting is prevalent (infrastructure and/or infrastructure services, engineering, manufacturing, oil & gas, utilities etc). You will self-assured, have gravitas and have the confidence to make and take tough decisions and lead by example. This is a fantastic opportunity for a CFO to make a significant contribution, add value and make a difference.
