Deloitte's specialist Treasury Investments and Capital Markets team consists of 65 professionals across Sydney Melbourne Brisbane and Adelaide and offers our banking government and corporate clients service offerings in the following areas through both advisory and audit channels:
  • Financial risk management solutions including: liquidity risk funding and refinancing risk counterparty credit risk foreign exchange risk interest rate risk and commodity (including energy) price risk
  • Banking insurance and superannuation governance controls and regulatory support for markets and treasury divisions (including APRA Basel and IOSCO regulations and standards)
  • Treasury strategy operating model and transformation support
  • Cash management transactional banking payments and working capital optimisation
  • Treasury technology
  • Operational risk solutions for treasury and investment functions.


We are looking for individuals with a minimum of circa 4-5 years of relevant experience to work collaboratively with our Directors and Partners and lead an existing group of Treasury Investments & Capital Markets analysts. Whilst the role is primarily advisory focused there will be work through the internal audit channel with leading clients. Our people work across all the above service offerings from time to time and we will invest in your training and support you in the market with methodologies tools and innovative ways bringing value to our clients.

About You
  • Suitable candidates will have a passion for financial risk management.
  • We are looking for individuals that have demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas: markert and trading risk management, instrument valuation, treasury risks, treasury internal audit, treasury transformation, risk governance frameworks, cash management, working capital, finance (debt funding), treasury accounting and banking and standards / regulations relating to treasury and investment functions.
  • Knowledge of programming languages (eg R, Python, VBA, SQL) highly regarded.
  • Experience in the energy and commodities sector highly regarded.
  • Enjoy working with others collaboratively to bring the best of our firm to clients. Able to deliver work in presentations / workshops or through written reports including to executive management teams and boards.
  • Be CA CPA or CFA qualified or well advanced in your studies.
