The Role
Among your main responsibilities would be:
  • Timely and accurate processing of documents – take ownership and initiative until transaction is successfully processed
  • Collate and input data with high level of accuracy and in accordance with Service Level Agreements
  • Thoroughly check work prior to completion of posting to avoid unnecessary corrections
  • Work closely with line manager coordinating processing volumes within CEE team
  • Run required accounts reconciliation and advise appropriate adjustments
  • Perform required controls in order to properly reflect accounting documentation in books
  • Understand and account for withholding tax and VAT
  • Communicate with internal and external customer in an effective and efficient manner
  • Act as an effective team player
  • Maintain and implement agreed self-development plan
  • Ensure that all relevant Shell and SSSC standards and guidelines are met; compliance to SOX rules and guidelines
  • Carry out other assignments assigned by the supervisors
*fixed term contract for 18 months
Requirements
  • Very good English (written and oral) and good Czech or Slovak (B2 minimum)
  • Min.1 year of experience in relevant accounting environment
  • Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, MS Outlook
  • Working knowledge of SAP environment would be beneficial
  • Good knowledge of accounting controls
  • Preffered economic, accounting or finance university degree/qualifications or equivalent courses/experience
