Position Overview:
A reputable financial services company is expanding their team and they are looking to appoint an experienced Credit Life Insurance Claims Assessor.
Main Responsibilities include:
- One will conduct both technical and medical assessments related to both Temporary and Permanent Occupational Disability Claims, as well as Death and Retrenchment Benefit Claims should the need arise.
- Analyse and synopsise medical reports and other information in context of claims.
- Telephonic interactions with claimants to obtain additional information as and when required.
- Interpret and apply the policy document terms and conditions.
- Ensure that all criteria are met to pay valid claims and repudiate invalid claims whilst ensuring that proper processes are followed and that claim decisions are of high quality.
- Drafting of repudiation letters and responding to complaints.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy / Physical Therapy
- A minimum of 2 years working experience in the Life Insurance Industry as a Claims Assessor with Disability Claim Assessment experience
