We are looking to recruit an Assistant Systems and Management Accountant for a Government body based in Canary Wharf. The Finance team provides financial advice and support in respect of all functions. The team produces the annual resource accounts, monthly management accounts and pays all invoices and expenses. As member of the Finance team, the Assistant Systems and Management Accountant will interact closely with all directorates and several external stakeholders such as the supplier of goods and services and system support partner.

We are looking for an individual with significant experience of this Oracle Fusion who can support the rest of the team as they become more familiar with Oracle. As in-house knowledge grows, we would expect more of this role to be focused on supporting the Management Accountant with monthly activities.

Key responsibilities:

Providing support to the finance team (5 staff) on Oracle Fusion ERP issues.
Assist in Oracle enhancements and upgrades by executing quarterly Oracle patch release user acceptance testing to identify potential issues. To alleviate impact and provide feedback to the team
Where Oracle issues are identified, manage the service request process with system support provider
To proactively contribute to the continuing development of Oracle to ensure increased efficiency and effectiveness in working practices and better value for money
Assist the Management Accountant to produce timely information for budget holders and their deputies in order for them to manage their budgets and enable them to meet the organisation's objectives
Assist the Management Accountant with the preparation of monthly management accounts and expenditure reports to the organisation
