About Us:
The Customer Remediation Team is a remediation centre of excellence within Retail Banking Services (RBS).

This team is responsible for the management and execution of prioritised remediation activity. Remediation activity can range from simple customer payments to large complex remediation's covering multiple product lines and business units.

Your Responsibilities:
Your role will consist of line management and delivery responsibility.
As a line manager, you will be leading a number of Business Analysts across the Remediation function and will be responsible for managing their work performance and development.

You and your team will be responsible for defining Business Requirements which allow the bank to refund customers for any fee or charging error, creating requirements to build control reports to detect future errors and ensuring remediation projects are delivered with quality and timeliness.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Owing remediation incidents and projects end to end for you and your teams work.
  • Perform all required people leader activities including but not limited to supporting their development, coaching them on their projects and work tasks, and evaluating their performance.
  • Identify issues and risks specific to the Remediation work stream and being aware of the program's activities in their entirety so that risks and issues across work streams are identified and managed effectively
  • Defining business requirements by facilitating user meetings and interviewing users, developing use cases, and researching and resolving issues.
  • Working closely with data analysts to ensure alignment on deliverables & execution in line with project timelines
  • Building strong relationships with subject matter experts to assess problems and propose potential solutions
  • Identifying these solutions as business requirements and support sign-off of these by business and project teams.
  • Drive a culture of engagement and recognition which underpins the Bank's people strategy.
  • Providing support where necessary across different and interdependent work streams/projects.
  • Maintain project milestones and tracking RAG status against baselined project plans.
  • Managing change including developing training, FAQ's etc.

The successful applicant will have the following key skills and attributes:
As a strong practitioner with minimum 3 years' experience in BA or equivalent role, you will have relevant attributes and skills including:
  • Have business analysis experience, including gathering requirements, drafting a business rules document, facilitating workshops.
  • Have leadership skills to help lead and mentor business analysts
  • Have strong organisational, planning, time management and project management skills
  • Outstanding communication skills with a strong ability to read, analyse, and communicate written and verbal information.
  • Have strong values and passion for doing what's right for our customers to deliver on our purpose
  • Have a curious mindset and be proactive in leading continuous improvement initiatives
  • The capacity to work in a busy, commercial, competitive environment and the ability to meet objectives / targets and deliver customer service.
