This is a newly created role and will be reporting into the Head of Finance. The focus of this varied role is business analysis and financial reporting. They are looking for a fully qualified accountant with strong technical accounting and business analysis skills
This is very much an all-encompassing Management Accountant role where you will be expected to be technically strong, alongside being commercially astute to not just report the numbers but understand them.

Role
- Analysis of business performance, including margin analysis of customers and products
- Preparation of management and statutory reporting in accordance with accounting standards and company policy
- Submission of management reporting data and commentaries, adhering to tight reporting deadlines
- Accurate reflection of financial information in our accounts
- Maintenance and review of monthly general ledger journals with respect to financial transactions (including instruments), prepayments, accruals and fixed assets
- Timely application of balance sheet controls, including those in foreign currencies
- Pro-actively engaging with colleagues within the Group and other subsidiaries
- Maintaining financial control over consignment stock, VAT submissions and balance sheets
- Continuously reviewing and improving the effectiveness of working practices and internal controls
- Various projects and other tasks as directed by the Head of Finance
Profile
- Full Accounting qualification (ACA/ACC/CIMA)
- Excellent data manipulation & analysis skills
- Self-motivated and able to use initiative
- Experience within a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication (both oral and written and excellent interpersonal skills)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise responsibilities under pressure and deliver to deadlines
- Excellent time management and organisational skills - ensuring deadlines are met and to the required standard
- Analytical thinking / Problem solving
