Responsible for managing the monthly and year-end UK payroll processes with the outsourced payroll provider, as well as undertaking tax analysis and assisting with designing tax
Client Details
Our client based in Chippenham is looking for an experienced payroll or tax accountant to join their finance team in a newly created role.
Description
- Ensuring all statutory monthly payroll submissions, deductions and third-party payments are made accurately and on time for the UK and Ireland payrolls of circa 150 employees through the outsourced payroll provider
- Administering and overseeing year-end processes, such as P11ds, P60s, PSAs and share option returns.
- Managing the relationships with our outsourced payroll providers and employment tax adviser
- Working with others in the Finance and HR teams to monitor and improve the expenses system

- opportunity to expand this role beyond UK employment tax, given the growing international profile of the group).
Profile
- Proven track record of working in payroll, ideally with a background in both practice and industry.
- Working knowledge of employment tax/other taxes would be an advantage.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a talent for organisation of information.
- Robust IT skills, with a good understanding, and ability to adapt to, the way in which technology is changing the payroll and tax compliance and controls framework
