Our Credit Portfolio Assurance (CPA) provides an independent, tertiary overview of the application of credit risk policies and processes throughout the Group. Credit Portfolio Assurance also adds value to the business units reviewed by undertaking on site credit training and recommending suggested workplace and process improvements. 

The team is made if up people with experience across a range of mainly credit areas and must be adaptable to suit the work allocated to them.

Joining at an exciting time and as Manager Credit Portfolio Assurance you have the chance to deliver a professional and highly valued assurance service to the business and risk committees. The role will also see you provide objective assurance on risk management to key customers (e/g Group Executives and their leadership teams) to secure the financial wellbeing of the Bank’s customers. 

You’ll be identifying issues and commercial insights as part of high quality review reports, which help customers to make a difference to their business and undertaking Credit Portfolio Assurance reviews, consistent with CPA methodology to identify relevant credit issues across the full range of BU’s, regions and industries having regard to the Group’s credit policies, standards and procedures.

We’re interested in hearing from people who have: 

  • Demonstrated experience in a credit risk management role in Commercial, Corporate of Institutional banking segments.
  • Capacity to work to a timetable and ability to meet objectives and targets.
  • Ability to undertake analytical research and provide high quality recommendations.
  • Strong communication skills, delivering high quality reporting. 
  • Demonstrated ability in building strong customer relationships based on credibility, rapport and trust.
  • Demonstrated ability in deriving commercial insights.
