Cost Accountant

Reporting into the Finance Controller, the Cost Accountant will be looking at the Commercial Accounts for a Manufacturing business based in Redditch.

Description

Working as the Cost Accountant, key responsibilities will consist of the following:

• Process all cost roll procedures in SAP, performing standard cost updates as required and update labour hours by employees on a weekly basis.
• Analysis of all stock and inventory on a weekly and monthly basis and reporting on this on SAP for senior leadership team. This will also include preparing reports to analyse inventory and calculate provisions for slow moving stock.
• Produce and process monthly management accounts for the commercial business, statutory accounts and budgets.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including accruals and prepayments, inventory and balance sheet reserves. Ensuring companies SOX and audit requirements are withheld.
• Work as part of a team to prepare annual budget and forecast returns, whilst providing detail on the P&L and salient balance sheet items for review.

Profile

It is essential that the successful candidate has SOX ( Sarbanes- Oxley) experience and experience of Stock and controls. They will be from a Manufacturing environment and from a larger Corporate Organisation due to the nature of the business.
