CHIEF ACTUARY, Life Insurance

Reporting Line:Chief Finance Officer

Job Responsibilities:

Oversee Actuarial, Reinsurance, Investment, Treasury, Accounting, Sales Compensation, Underwriting, and Group Insurance Departments
Apply actuarial judgement to develop reasonable assumptions for pricing and projections based on past experience, competitive environment, and current and forecasted trends
Product modelling, pricing and development, reserve valuation, and experience studies
Evaluate financial and operational risks of product prototypes and perform sensitivity analysis to assess the quantitative impact of quantifiable risks
Perform cost-benefit analysis for proposed compensation schemes and incentives for the sales force
Coordinate with different areas in the company to ensure that products are operationally supported

Job Requirements:

College degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related field from a reputable school with solid track record of academic excellence
Fellow of the Actuarial Society of the Philippines
Working knowledge of technical and practical aspects of product pricing and implementation
Knowledgeable in local regulations and requirements for insurance product filling, and familiar with new developments on local regulations that will have impact on products
At least 15 years of actuarial work experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
Extensive work experience in reserving, ratemaking, and special projects by applying actuarial techniques
