  • Accountable for compliance with statutory, tax and regulatory requirements (including, but not limited to, SGX requirements, Companies Act, the Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards, International Financial Reporting Standards, Income Tax Act), and keeping abreast with the latest accounting standards and requirements, treatment, best practices and industry standards
  • Devising/updating, implementing and complying with relevant accounting policies
  • Interacting with senior management and/or overseas reporting group to prepare management accounts and supporting reporting package for monthly and quarterly reporting
  • Ensuring the timely preparation and closing of monthly and quarterly management accounts and supporting reporting package for the Group consolidation
  • Overseeing the closing and reviewing of the monthly management accounts of the overseas entities
  • Responsible for facilitating and ensuring budgetary control, and making recommendations for continuous improvements in financial performance and implementing relevant policies within the Group
  • Reviewing monthly and quarterly financial analysis and comparison of actual results against prior year/period results, and against budgets
  • Liaison for internal/external audits, taxation, banking, corporate secretarial, sustainability reporting and any other compliance matters
  • Assisting in the preparation of Board meeting materials, including quarterly results announcements and presentation materials
  • Overseeing the preparation of the financial statements in accordance with the Malaysia Financial Reporting Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards
  • Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and cash flow forecasts
  • Assisting in transfer pricing, valuation, PPA, internal controls, sustainability reporting
  • Assisting in the Group's overseas expansion plans
  • Handling the operations aspect of the organisation/Group that concerns finance
  • Overall management of finance team
  • Additional duties and assignments as directed by the Senior Management to ensure the ISEC Group objectives are achieved
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Degree/Professional Degree in Accountancy and/or recognised professional accounting qualification with MIA membership. Candidates with CPA Australia, ACCA or equivalent will be an added advantage
  • Candidate is able to start IMMEDIATELY
  • Minimum 7 years working experience
  • Experience in public listed company will be an added advantage    
  • Strong Accounting knowledge and knowledge of FRS and statutory reporting requirements
  • Strong knowledge in Accounting and ERP/HIS Systems
  • Management reporting, financial analysis, cashflow management, costing, budgeting and forecasting experience
  • Self-starter, able to work independently and meticulously with high level of motivation and commitment.
  • Exposure in M&A and healthcare industry will be another added advantage
  • Strong attention to detail with an aptitude to learn
  • Well organised and with high level of initiative
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Able to multi-task and establish priorities to meet deadlines
  • Strong team player; good communication and relationship skills with ability to build relationships across business units and across other divisions
  • Leadership skills
  • Willing to travel
