My Client provides a professional accountancy and tax consultancy service to small and medium enterprises throughout Ireland. Due to ongoing success and expansion they now have clients not just throughout the country but also a number of clients in the UK and the United States.

The successful candidate for this excellent opportunity, will ideally have gained 2-3yrs+ in an accountancy practice and will be IT savvy, self-motived, somebody that can identify shortcomings in systems & procedures and can suggest & implement solutions to these shortcomings to improve efficiency and contribute to a dynamic working environment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of Purchase & Sales ledgers.
  • Preparation and monitoring of VAT, RCT & PAYE/PRSI reconciliations and returns.
  • Preparation of Weekly, Biweekly and Monthly payroll.
  • Ad hoc and on demand report building and analysis in Excel using advance formulae.
  • Preparation of bank, debtor and creditor reconciliation.
  • Responding to client queries in a timely manner.
  • Submission & Reconciliation of Payroll with revenues live reporting system along with month end procedures.
  • Reconciliation of Bank Accounts, debtors & creditors.
  • Interact with Client and maintain a strong client file.
  • Provide training, encourage development and motivate team members.
  • Assist in the delivery of high quality financial and management reports.


Requirements/Skills;
  • Min 2-3 years' work experience in an accountancy practice.
  • Ability to collaborate and engage with all staff.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel essential.
  • An ability to learn quickly, have a good eye for detail and have strong organisational skills.
  • Enthusiastic and hardworking individual committed to working in a busy office environment and possess attention to detail and a high level of accuracy with numbers.
  • Experience using computerised accounts software & payroll packages specifically Collsoft Payroll.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
