ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM:

We offer paid, full-time summer internships for many majors, with fulfilling work and opportunities to grow. To help launch your career, we provide dedicated staff mentors. Youll also learn from senior leaders and industry experts. As part of the Federal Reserve System, youll be connected to a professional network that spans the nation. You will begin in early June and will be based in the Dallas office.

ABOUT YOUR TEAM:

Consumer Affairs provides effective supervision of state member banks and foreign agencies with respect to their compliance with consumer protection and civil rights laws and regulations. Also, to provide the public with a venue for addressing consumer complaints/inquiries.
WHAT YOULL DO:
  • Assist the Consumer Affairs training examiner with the examiner training initiatives to include developing training materials
  • Assist examiners in preparing for a Consumer Affairs Examination and/or a Community Reinvestment Act performance evaluation
  • Assist the Consumer Affairs Policies and Procedures work group by developing policies and procedures to enhance current processes and support the business line by providing consistent and transparent processes.
  • Assist in validating a Community Reinvestment Act performance evaluation for accuracy of content
WHAT YOU BRING:
  • Student must be entering Junior or senior year and pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics
  • Experience in accounting, audit, or banking is preferable
  • Understanding of the Federal Reserve and commercial banking
  • Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Equivalent education and/or experience may be substituted for any of the above requirements

WORK HOURS:
Monday Friday, 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. (40 hours/ week). Some additional hours may be required
