Senior Financial Accountant
£40,000 - £50,000 + bonus
Swindon, Wiltshire (working from home initially)
Robert Walters are pleased to have partnered with a leading services-based business based in Swindon. This well established and acquisitive organisation are looking to bring a highly ambitious and driven Senior Financial Accountant into their growing team.
Responsibilities:
Perform the technical analysis relating to group-wide accounting projects to enable the delivery of strategic, timely and accurate advice to the UK board.
Develop revised processes resulting from key accounting projects and ensure successful implementation and communication within the appropriate departments.
Assist with the implementation and maintenance of a governance framework to enable consistent and appropriate interpretation of accounting standards and group accounting directives.
Working with the Financial Controller to engage and influence partners to ensure robust financial documents are produced.
Prepare the annual statutory accounts in compliance with FRS101.
Maintain the relationship with the external auditors to ensure audit information is acquired seamlessly from multiple partners across the business.
Act as key business partner to external and internal auditors.
Experience and qualifications:
Qualified ACA , ACCA , CIMA , CA or equivalent.
Strong understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP.
End to end process management and improvement experience.
Experience working closely with auditors (internal or external).
Knowledge of SAP and experience of a consolidation tool would be beneficial.
