The Role: Are you looking for a new rewarding career in a fast paced and professional Further Education environment? Macclesfield College is seeking an enthusiastic and efficient Assistant Accountant to support the Finance Manager in the delivery of all financial and management accounting requirements, working with departments across the College to ensure accurate reporting of information. The successful candidate will also support in delivering a high-quality service in developing the awareness and practical application of financial procedures and to be an advocate of sharing good practice by providing advice and support to managers and staff. An effective communicator, with the ability to develop and facilitate positive working relationships with both staff and learners. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent organisation skills and will have the ability to work flexibly and adapt to business and learner needs accordingly, working under minimal supervision. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a good standard of education with a good level of literacy and numeracy at Level 2 or equivalent in Maths and English. The successful candidate will also possess an AAT Technician qualification or a willingness to work towards the qualification in a timely manner.
