Assistant Payroll Manager

Assistant Payroll Manager opportunity required to take full responsibility of the end to end payroll cycle whilst overseeing a team of Payroll Administrators. The company are preparing for an influx of work so continuous improvement and project work is to be expected. The role is ideal for an experienced Senior Payroll Administrator with strong leadership skills looking for the next step up or an established Team Leader looking for a varied role.

Duties and responsibilities:

* Overseeing and full responsibility in supervising a team of experienced payroll staff
* Distributing workload, dealing with escalations, answering complex technical queries and team 121s
* Hands on manager leading form the front processing the complex weekly and monthly payroll
* Processing international and European payrolls (USD, GDP)
* Assisting the Payroll Manager with weekly reporting, forecasting and year end
* All aspects of end to end payroll submissions
* HMRC reporting including RTI, pensions and student loans

Skills Required:

* Studying towards or qualified in CIPP
* Up to date and relevant experience in end to end payroll
* Understanding of changes to payroll legislations and dealing with high volume payroll
* Ability to manually calculate for payroll queries
* Competent use of Microsoft Excel
