About the opportunity:

The Senior Risk Assurance Analyst is a critical role; contributing to the delivery of successful business outcomes within Bupa to ensure appropriate business practices are being met. Having the ability to build a strong and trusting rapport with business contacts, facilitating two-way interaction in relation to risk and compliance matters is key.

Key responsibilities:
  • Work with the Risk Assurance Manager to identify risks for individual reviews as part of an approved Risk Assurance Plan (or for adhoc reviews as required).
  • Work with the Risk Business Partners, Compliance Managers and business stakeholders to identify key controls in place to manage the identified risks and, in conjunction with the Risk Assurance Manager develop testing/monitoring approaches for these controls.
  • Conduct process walkthroughs and sample testing to ensure risks are being appropriately managed by the business and in accordance with applicable regulatory obligations, contractual obligations and internal policies and procedures.
  • Formulate initial findings based on assurance activities for controls and, with the support of the Risk Assurance Manager, work with the business to agree appropriate improvement actions.
  • Draft initial reports which articulate risks, findings and agreed actions and work with the Risk Assurance Manager to finalise these reports for distribution to the business.
  • Act as part of a team responsible for the ANZ Market Unit and promote risk and compliance management initiatives.
  • Maintain networks across the business to enable the completion of the Risk Assurance plan.
  • Support the Risk Assurance Manager in articulating second line risk and compliance value and promoting the understanding of obligations.
  • To complete Bupa training as required and attend arranged training and information sessions in order to maintain knowledge of regulatory obligations. Individual reading may be required in order to understand the regulatory environment and obligations.


You will be/have:-
  • Degree qualified
  • Experience in similar internal audit, assurance or risk role.
  • Experience in a large corporate or Big4 company
  • Exposure to liaising with business at all levels of management to achieve a result.
  • Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build strong business and team relationships, influence key stakeholders and problem solve effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with people across different functional business units to develop and deliver solutions.
