Our client is a top tier Private Equity business based in central London. A new role has been created in the Finance team for a newly or recently qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) in a Management/Financial accounting capacity (corporate entities). This business offers all accountants the chance to rotate functions during their tenure and this role will also include portfolio reporting and fund accounting.

The Role
  • Assisting with the preparation of the month end management accounts and report including financial information, balance sheet reconciliations and commentary on budgetary variances and other non-financial data
  • Preparation of quarterly regulatory reporting requirements, including VAT and FCA returns
  • Assisting with preparation of annual audit files and statutory accounts for auditors, for entities within the corporate structure
  • Supervision of fortnightly payment runs (prepared by the Accounts Assistant) and input of sales and purchase invoices, focusing on accuracy of general ledger postings and payment details
  • Assisting with annual tax reporting and related information in a variety of jurisdictions and entities
  • Involvement in the budget and reforecast processes, including close interaction with department heads
  • Reviewing and approving portfolio company data submissions
  • Ability to effectively communicate and build strong relationships with portfolio company finance teams
  • Consolidation and analysis of data submissions, with subsequent monthly reporting to key senior firm stakeholders
  • Running fund level analysis and projected outcomes based on investment performance
  • Frequent use and maintenance of our portfolio reporting system iLevel
  • Additional project support to help drive reporting improvement projects
  • Supervision of finance assistants' work
  • Assist with continued systems implementations and upgrades
  • Ad-hoc project work on various areas of the finance function

Requirements
  • You must be a fully qualified accountant, preference for an ACA from practice but does not necessitate a Big 4 background
  • You will ideally have a mix of audit and accounts preparation experience
  • Exposure to regulated financial services clients will be advantageous but not essential
  • Good team player with excellent all round communication skills
