Job Description The Property Services Division is looking for a hardworking, motivated Assistant Administrator to join our team! The Property Services Division is charged with providing general supervision of the administration of the property tax laws of the State of Michigan, including monitoring the Audits of Minimum Assessing Requirements and administration of Assessor Education Programs. This position is responsible for: Managing the STC Assessor Education Programs including the design of the individual education programs, implementation of programs offered by the STC, working with statewide outside partner organizations, and evaluation of the effectiveness of the programs to recommend changes and provide for continuous improvement. Serving as the primary expert overseeing the Department's responsibility to monitor the Audits of Minimum Assessing Requirements (AMARs) program, assuring the contractor providing AMARs services meets contractual requirements and uses State Tax Commission (STC) standards for conducting reviews. Serving as the subject matter expert to answer inquiries and develop guidance material, education programs, bulletins, reports, and action plans regarding the General Property Tax Act, AMARs and the STC Education and Certification programs. Experience Note: Experience is considered professional if the job requires a bachelor's degree. State Assistant Administrator 15 Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level. No prior experience with Teams is necessary, as instructions and tips will be provided to all candidates scheduled for an interview.
