Job Background/context:
Citi is experiencing significant business growth and has a requirement for a Business Analyst to join the project teams within Client Reporting and Performance. The role is as part of a project team to interface between the onshore client and Citi's offshore and onshore operational and technology teams.
The role as a business analyst within both the Performance and Client Reporting workstream is to gather requirements relating to Performance and Client Reporting operating model including process, hand offs, systems, data requirements and clearly articulate and transform into the Citi operating models and also, identifying builds in the form of Business Requirements Documents. The role will also require the candidate to be involved in User Acceptance Testing when required
Key Responsibilities:
  • Data gathering through a series of detailed Client and Citi internal walkthrough's of existing in-house and 3rd party processes and systems, documenting the current process and data requirements covering both Client Reporting and Performance.
  • Support the design of Citi Performance and Client Reporting operating models focusing on data aspects across the work streams.
  • Receipt of Client Reporting and Performance reporting examples:
    • Analyse report and create list of questions on how the report functions
    • Attend meetings with stakeholders to better understand the reports and data requirements
    • Split report into components, data attributes and templates
    • Write Business Requirement Documents that clearly articulate data inputs, Client Reporting and Performance Reporting requirements
    • Help maintain a central log of unique components, templates and data requirements that have already been defined within existing BRDs
  • Work with the Citi teams and the Client to ensure any data gaps are addressed and understanding is obtained
  • Ensure all business requirements documents and the operating model is are signed off by all involved stakeholders
  • Answer any questions raised by the development and operational teams
  • In conjunction with the Operational teams in Indian and Edinburgh write procedures and training notes for Citi go live
  • Undertake testing UAT testing in conjunction with the client and Citi operational teams.
  • Work with stakeholders to obtain formal sign-off on the joint testing
  • Representing the Client Reporting and Performance teams at internal project meetings
  • Develop strong, pro-active relationships with all internal and external customers including client, offshore partners, client service and middle office teams.
  • Working closely with other relevant operational peers to ensure that project delivery risks are minimised.
  • Provide weekly status updates
  • Participate in various stakeholder calls on behalf of Client Reporting and Performance teams

Knowledge/Experience:
Candidate should have knowledge of investment Performance, Risk and Data functions and have strong working experience in the Investment Management/Financial Services Industry, with time spent within:
  • a Performance and Risk role
  • a Client Reporting role
Skills:
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Numerate
  • Able to write clear and concise system requirements
  • Computer literate with knowledge of MS Office (word/excel)
  • Understand concept of a broad range of investment management instruments
  • Experience of performance systems particularly Factset and Statpro
  • Experience of client reporting systems and desk top publishing software.
