A&M's global Disputes & Investigations (DI) practice is a leading provider of forensic accounting, forensic technology, economic expert witness, dispute resolution and investigation services. The DI team comprises of over 450 professionals globally with dedicated European teams in London, Munich, Frankfurt, Athens, Paris, Madrid and Zurich. A&M's DI team comprises of professionals from a wide range of cultural and social backgrounds, who bring deep expertise in conducting investigations, managing electronic disclosure exercises and interrogating complex sets of information. Our core areas of work include anti-bribery and fraud investigations, regulatory investigations, contract disputes, IP theft investigations and other litigation advisory services. Against the backdrop of our growing presence in the UK, opportunities exist for us to strengthen the DI business at the Director level. The successful appointee will play a key part in the further development of the practice, with emphasis on dispute resolution, leading teams, assisting the named expert and preparing expert reports.

Critical Capabilities

The preferred candidate will be an action-oriented self-starter with entrepreneurial flair. You will be comfortable working independently as well as part of a high performing team. Critically, you will need:
  • Proven track record in managing complex disputes and executing multiple streams of work
  • Demonstrable track record in expert testimony, litigation support, international arbitration and dispute resolution
  • Previous engagements include quantification of losses, contract disputes, economic damages, negligence, quantum and valuations
  • Strong network in UK/European legal and compliance market and ability to develop client relationships and participate in business development initiatives
  • Experience with expert determinations including expert witness and writing expert reports
  • Develop project work plans, strategy and budgets
  • Strong project management and leadership skills
  • Able to identify and attract top talent into the team and manage a cohesive and productive business unit


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting (preferred), finance, law, economics or another business-related field
  • ACA or ACCA qualification
  • 8-12 years' experience in Big 4 or accounting firm or a forensic/dispute consulting practice in a professional services firm
  • A combination of forensic accounting, disputes and international arbitration consulting roles
  • Flexibility to travel as needed
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Fluency in English essential and additional European language desirable (in particular German and/or French).
