Senior Manager, Audit Summary:

RSM is looking for a dynamic SeniorManager to join our Audit team in the Government Services Industry. You willhave the opportunity to work as a team member on our Government Services teamproviding audit services to various departments in the Federal Government.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide timely, high quality clientservice that meets or exceeds client expectations including coordinating contributionagreement audits for various departments in the Federal Government
  • Assess risk along with design andcommunicate audit procedures to engagement teams
  • Understand and utilize RSM's auditmethodology
  • Manage multiple engagement teams andprepare end-of-engagement evaluations for staff
  • Lead the team through the entireaudit process, preparing all necessary audit reports with an eye on quality,thoroughness and accuracy
  • Collaborate with the engagement teamon engagement approach and execute on the plan using a risk-based approach
  • Identify audit issues early and assessimpact on the audit; coordinate with firm specialists as needed
  • Understand skill sets andcapabilities of Senior Associates and Supervisors and monitor and review workproduct that they prepare and report on performance while articulating coachingnotes throughout the process
  • Anticipate and address clientconcerns and escalate issues as they arise
  • Develop others within the Firm throughfacilitating levels based training, advising on career development orparticipating in other Firm initiatives
  • Identify performance improvementopportunities for team members
  • Understand RSM's lines of businesses,availability of services and where applicable, discuss with client managementof opportunities to make valuable introductions to others in the firm
  • Manage time appropriately across multipleprojects
  • Manage profitability of projects
  • Ensure professional developmentthrough ongoing education
  • Keep abreast of latest developmentsas they affect GAAP and the Firm's standards and policies
  • Willingness to travel within Canadaand Overseas


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting)degree or equivalent degree from an accredited university
  • CPA, CA, CMA, CGA designation
  • Bilingual (French and English)
  • Minimum of six cumulative years ofaudit experience within the past ten year, including at least two cumulativeyears of experience in recipient/contribution agreement audit
  • Experience in the application ofTreasury Board policies and departmental directives and/or guidelines
