Senior leader position within a global US manufacturing business. You will partner with the commercial leader to drive sustainable profitable growth.

Contribute fully to the development of strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, commercial arrangements, investments, asset optimisation, overhead costs, plans, targets and business drivers.

Responsibilities:
  • End to end responsibility for coordinating and reviewing month/year end close, financial control processes and operations, and the completion and submission of reporting and statutory obligations
  • Produce timely, accurate and insightful reports articulating the impact on business decisions and changes on key business drivers and highlighting risks and opportunities
  • Business Partner to the Australia Commercial Leader to achieve business results. This involves analysing results, reviewing commercial arrangements, quantify possible risks and opportunities, identify strategies to optimise financial performance
  • Driving accounting policies and procedures across all facets including month end, FP&A, Commercial Management and operational accounting for all service offerings
  • Ensuring the integrity of the Profit & Loss statement, Balance Sheet, debits and credits
  • Provide commercial insights through analytical review of data and business drivers and performance
  • Manage the preparation and presentation of financial statements, reports, ad hoc special analysis for Management and/or Board use
  • Co-ordinate the annual budgeting process and ensure that the budgets are appropriately submitted and reported against
  • Team management
  • Ensure all audit files are prepared in accordance with the audit timetable

Requirements:
  • Qualified accountant
  • More than 15 years relevant experience in Finance with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position
  • Manufacturing experience is a essential
  • Extensive experience in Finance, Accounting and or Controlling in a Commercial business/Manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in a cross-functional global environment, managing teams and stakeholders outside Australia
  • Knowledge of accounting regulations; GAAP and IAS standards understanding is essential
