Our client is a prestigious retail and corporate bank in Hong Kong providing full spectrum of financial services to clients in the region. Currently, they are looking for Department Head to oversee its financial control function.



about the job

You will be a core member of the Finance Department:

• Reporting to CFO, you will maintain efficiency of the Financial Control department, lead and manage different teams responsible for HKMA regulatory and financial reporting
• Design and manage responsibilities through teams of Supervisors and Finance Executives supporting daily accounting operations
• Manage the Bank's financial control obligation, input key insights for decisions made by the leadership teams. You will support CFO in preparation of any board meetings including business presentations relating to the Bank's cashflow and financial performance
• You will design, implement reporting systems and best practices, streamline workflow and reporting procedures
• Oversee internal controls, HKMA regulatory compliance and governance of the Finance Department
• Liaise with external and internal auditors, HKMA regulators and tax officials

Skills and experience required

• Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
• Qualified member in CPA, ACCA or equivalent qualifications
• Minimum 15 years' experience in financial reporting, regulatory reporting and financial control gained from the banking sector
• Solid leadership experience managing sizeable team
• Sound knowledge in HKMA regulatory compliance and banking ordinance
• Strong stakeholders management with ability to be a strategic partner representing the Finance Department
• Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese
