The opportunity
With offices in London, France, Switzerland, Finland, Sweden and the USA, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a growing international team. This PE backed consultancy group have a newly created role which will be based in London, reporting to the CFO and working closely with the London and US office finance teams.
The role
You will be responsible for driving improvements of processes and controls in a high growth business which is expanding internationally. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to step into their first managerial role.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Preparation of the Group and entity financial statements
Management of the annual UK and French audit process
Working with local accountants in European offices to ensure statutory compliance
Assist with the month end close including P&L and balance sheet reviews, transfer pricing and fixed asset reconciliations
Review and approve weekly supplier and expense payment runs
Oversee the UK and European payrolls and reconciliations
Treasury management including cash flow management, forecasting and hedging
Develop and manage financial controls, policies and processes
Assist as required with any improvements to internal accounting or operational systems
Work closely with international tax manager on employee mobility issues
Assistance with London office operations (leases, capex, budgets)
Supervision and train assistant accountant
Adhoc projects, reporting and analysis
Required Skills & Experience
Technically strong with thorough knowledge of IFRS
Organised, proactive with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and work successfully both independently and in a team
Qualified finance professional (ACA or equivalent, 2 + years PQE)
Knowledge of Microsoft D365 Finance or similar accounting software systems
Prior experience in a professional services environment a plus
Ideally experienced within an international group with foreign currency exposure
