Senior Wealth Accountant - 6 Month Fixed Term Contract

Purpose of the Role

The aim of this role is to provide Financial Accounting and Financial Control support to the Wealth entities of AMP. The primary focus is to manage the general ledger, reporting and analysis for these entities.

The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge and experience in Investment Accounting and APRA Reporting as well as good process improvement mindset, analytical and excellent communication skills

More specifically your main responsibilities will include
  • Ensure the integrity of the general ledger data primarily for the Superfunds.
  • BNPP MPO, liaising with the custodian, mapping of the MPO file, reconciling and investigating any issues.
  • Quarterly and annual APRA reporting.


With your exceptional stakeholder management skills and quality of your output what we also look for in you:
  • Degree Qualified - Major in Accounting
  • Partly or Fully Qualified CA / CPA (or equivalent).
  • Ideally at least 5 years accounting experience in Financial Services.
  • Experience in/understanding of Investment Assets
  • Excellent financial accounting experience including understanding of accounting standards and accounting principles.
  • Experience in report production, analysis of reports and provision of commentary to senior management as well as quarterly APRA reporting is essential
  • Experience in working with ledgers, data warehouses, management information systems and report production
  • Ability to think both logically and laterally to solve problems.
  • Excellent time management and priority skills
  • Advanced Excel skills.


A working knowledge of Word, Powerpoint, Essbase, nVision, Peoplesoft and Business Objects would be well regarded. Statutory reporting experience would be advantageous.
