This is a unique opportunity for an experienced finance leader to join us as part of the senior management team in a diverse role. You'll oversee the accounting, taxation, FP&A and corporate functions of Sonder, while working closely with the founders and Board to execute on key strategic and operational initiatives. You will be the first fulltime in-house finance professional and will lead the planning and implementation of financial management practices that support continued rapid growth, and build-out a supporting team over time.

What You Will Be Doing
- Leading and managing the finance and accounting function including managing external providers, as well as Corporate functions, including Legal, HR, IT and general administration.
- Providing strategic recommendations to the Managing Director and members of the executive management team and the Board.
- Managing the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting.
- Advising on long-term business and financial planning.
- Preparing financial analyses and proposals for change initiatives and special projects.
- Managing payroll, accounts payable, accounting systems and improvements.
- Establishing and developing relations with senior management and external partners and stakeholders.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone with excellent finance skills and commercial acumen as well as superior interpersonal and communication abilities to be part of the senior management team and help us scale.
You will have:
- Minimum 8 years relevant experience.
- Experience managing corporate functions such as HR, Legal, IT, and general admin.
- Experience as a CFO or Head of Finance is an advantage.
- Experience in a high growth startup that has scaled domestically and internationally is an advantage.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting; or Finance or Economics.
- An MBA or CPA.
