To support the organic growth and a highly acquisitive agenda, CentralNic is looking for an ambitious Group Accountant to join its Group function. This is an exciting and varied opportunity to gain wider financial and commercial skills and participate in the future growth.

You will
  • manage/review monthly management accounts produced by the UK, EU and Asia-Pacific divisions
  • review of commentaries and variance analysis of the monthly management accounts
  • partner with key management to gain full oversight of the performance
  • assist with the group monthly consolidation accounts
  • review commercial and variance analysis of the wider group, per segment and geographical region
  • assist with the management of UK and the wider group audit process on a quarterly, bi- annually and yearly basis
  • provide commentaries around the KPI's and add insight to support group strategic decision making
  • take responsibility and prepare weekly group cash flow forecast and manage the group treasury function
  • partner with key stakeholders to provide commentaries of budget/forecast vs actuals and trending P&L for each sub-conso (5 Sub-Group)
  • build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • provide support in the production of year end and interim accounts (to IFRS)
  • review the balance sheet position for each sub-conso each month
  • review consolidation and month end process and streamline reporting standard as appropriate
  • be the subject matter expert in technical accounting topics (e.g. acquisition accounting, technical provisions, FX handling, FV adjustments, intercompany process etc), notably IFRS 2,3,9,15 &16
  • ensure continued accuracy and timeliness of reporting, whilst maintaining a strong control environment
  • undertake ad hoc investigation and analysis work, as requested by management or external bodies, to agreed standards within agreed timescales
  • support and communicate with regional FDs on accounting matters affecting the Group
  • organize and drive continuous improvement groups and projects to increase efficiencies in finance processes through standardization, simplification and automation.


You will need to
  • be a qualified accountant with a focus on robust financial controls, processes and systems
  • have strong IFRS & FRS 102 knowledge, multi company, multi-currency reporting and Cash flow consolidation
  • bring some knowledge of corporation tax, which would be advantageous
  • have a can-do attitude and be motivated by being part of a growth company
  • be highly numerate, with the ability to step back and see the bigger picture
  • be a willing team member with strong interpersonal skills, an eye for detail, a pragmatic and proactive approach
  • have experience with accounting softwares, preferably Sage Line 50, Datev, Xero and SAP
  • be able to work he ability to work to tight reporting deadlines
  • prior knowledge of working in a Plc would be helpful
