The client is a dynamic and fast paced local Consultancy business looking to grow the business following a number of years with continuous growth. With a diverse business base as well as taking on a number of exciting contracts with brand names they expect to grow further and are looking to invest in the finance team ahead of this. In an integrated finance team, the role of Finance Manager will be one that is heavily involved in key business decisions. An ideal opportunity for anyone located in the Norwich area.

Description

The Key responsibilities of the Finance Manager - Temp to Perm role will include:

  • Taking ownership of the monthly and annual management accounts
  • Maintaining petty cash balance and cash flow
  • Complete ownership of the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Looking after the PnL
  • Analysis of budgets vs actual to track performance
  • Maintaining Company Asset logs
  • Reviewing month accounts and rectifying any errors
  • Preparing quarterly VAT returns for authorisation
  • Sharing information with Directors on a regular basis
  • An ability to deal with high volume and implement new processes
  • Support month end and year end close processes
  • Supporting internal and external audits to meet compliance
  • Ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all relevant accounting tasks
  • Other ad-hoc tasks as required by business

Profile

The successful candidate for the Finance Manager - Temp to Perm role will have:

  • Proven previous experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping systems and processes
  • Part Qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA or AAT Qualified (QBE and Finalists Welcome)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, namely Excel (VLOOKUPS, Pivot Tables)
  • Previous experience of compliance reporting would be advantageous
  • Understanding of working with inter company accounts and multi-currency
  • Strong attention to detail is essential within the role
  • Effective communication and an ability to deal with queries
  • Ability to problem solve and improve processes
  • Driven and Personable candidate with a conscientious approach
  • Professional and Commercially minded individuals would be very well suited to this position
