Would you like to play an integral role supporting our finance teams? We currently have a vacancy for an Assistant Management Accountant at our site in Glascoed, S. Wales.
As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will provide financial support to the Land UK business, producing reports to the requirements and deadlines of both internal and external customers whilst incorporating sound financial controls. You will maintain data integrity levels and liaise with other functions to achieve streamlined integrated processes, which meet overall business objectives.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills and become a management accountant. We will provide you with study support for your accounting qualification and develop your skills in a niche sector giving you the ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Your main responsibilities as an Assistant Management Accountant will involve:
Preparing monthly accruals, prepayments and account correction journals
Consolidation of Cost Base Forecast Files and actual reporting including analysis of headcount data
Reconciliation of payroll records to HR and SAP Records
Preparing monthly and annual account reconciliations
Working with accountants on reporting and creating summary of status reports and loading of budgets and closure of projects on to the system
Supporting with the continuous improvement of procedures and working practices. Producing, promoting and monitoring of supporting process instructions
Initiating improvements to reporting mechanisms to extract maximum benefit from the reporting applications
Leading a number of technology projects within the finance team and supporting with the introduction of automation of data extraction and input into our systems
Your skills and qualifications:
Actively studying towards accountancy qualification (e.g. CIMA/ACCA - Study support available) or recently completed a Finance/Accounting Degree
Transactional financial accounting experience
Excel Skills - Experience of using Formulas & VLOOKUPs
Presentational Skills - Ability to present to non-financial stakeholders of all levels

Salary: Up to £22,000 per annum
