Head of Finance

About the Head of Finance Role:Reporting to the Finance Director, you will lead all matter of the bank's financial management across Singapore and Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Management of the Singapore finance team (including LCR and capital reporting, and finance team supporting Australia reporting)
• All external audit and internal audit issues and matters on Singapore and Australia finance, LCR and capital reporting
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of internal and external reporting, identifying issues and reviewing explanations of the monthly and quarterly P&L
• Review and present monthly and quarterly financials in various oversight committee meetings and represent finance as the single point of contact internally and externally
• Maintain sound knowledge of all approved procedures including MAS/APRA reporting requirements, liquidity and capital requirements, local tax, SOX, IFRS
• Management reporting for Singapore and Australia
• Analyse and provide explanation of the monthly and quarterly P&L to seniors
• Participate and contribute to the regular asset/liability management committee
• Ensure adequate tax provision is made periodically, annual tax estimate is prepared accurately and inquiries from IRAS/ATO are handled appropriately and effectively
• Ensure compliance with bank policies and guidelines and local regulatory/statutory requirements, following accounting changes and providing advice and counsel on accounting issues and monitoring compliance
• Initiate and manage technical and/or process re-engineering projects aimed at improving the efficiency and/or reduce risk contained within work processes of the groups. This includes collaborating with other areas in the bank (e.g. GWO, GWRT) to identify and implement initiatives

To succeed in this Head of Finance role, you will need to be an experienced finance professional with experience in regulatory and finance reporting in an international banking environment.

Key Requirements:

• Accounting designation and financial industry experience
• Extensive financial analysis and reporting experience
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work and resolve most issues independently
• Strong people management, decision making and leadership skills
• Extensive experience interacting with senior executives and managing relationships with key contacts inside and outside of the bank
• Team leadership experience
