Description

Strategic Responsibility:

This position is primarily responsible for coordinating daily workflow related to processing vendor invoices for Accounts Payable. This position will also ensure that vendor payments are in compliance with 1099 reporting.

Job Description:

Prioritize daily workload for Accounts Payable to ensure vendor invoices are paid in accordance with company policies.

Approve and post A/P invoices, A/P check runs, and coordinate month end close.

Administer 1099 compliance, prepare 1099's and corresponding reports related to year end.

Assist other team members thru data entry of invoices in job cost database, month end close journal entries and maintain spreadsheets.

Administer the expense management system for user set-ups and corporate card requests.

Process routine expense reports, ensuring that expenses are properly documented and coded.

Complete external auditors' inquiries and requests as necessary.

Responsible for other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

Formal Education: Some college with Accounting coursework preferred

Experience: 1-2 years bookkeeping experience, preferably in Accounts Payable

Specialized Knowledge/Certification: JDEdwards and Cashpro experience a plus

Equipment Knowledge: JD Edwards, Vertex, Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word required.
