The ideal candidate will have the ability to conceptualize abstract business goals and ideas and convert them into formal documentation including written use cases, workflow diagrams, data flow diagrams and story board mockups of user interfaces. Previous software application development experience and strong working knowledge of application development life cycles is also important.

Documentation developed by the Senior Business Analyst will be used as the foundation for tasks assigned to software application developers using a ticketing system such as JIRA. Candidate must be able to clearly communicate in both business and technology terms in a variety of formats. Strong verbal, written and visual communication skills are essential. The position will need to work with all levels of the organization.

Essential Functions

  • Assist strategic leaders and subject matter experts in gathering information.

  • Refine and document solutions in the form of written use cases, flowcharts, diagrams and mock ups.

  • Assist operational team members by providing needed functional documentation.

  • Help define project scope, goals and deliverables.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Seven years progressive responsibility as a Business Analyst.

  • Application software development experience.

  • Strong ability to conceptualize ideas.

  • Strong analysis, solution design, and documentation skills.

  • Strong organizational, verbal and written skills.

  • Ability to learn quickly and to creatively collaborate with others to solve new problems.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Location: Plano, TX

Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

FLSA Status: This position is exempt.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers.

Physical Demands: This role includes work and training sessions in body shop and dealership environments where standing for long periods of time, in hot and cold weather, may be required. Physical requirements also include occasional lifting/carrying of 5 pounds; visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles.

Travel: This position requires minimal travel.
