An exciting Group Accountant job opportunity based in Johor for a leading well known organisation in Malaysia.
Client Details
Our client has strong presence in the country. Due to growth of the business, they are currently looking for an experience Group Accountant that is heavily involved in closing of accounts and understanding statutory reporting requirements. Candidate will work closely with the Finance Director.
Description
As this role is essential to the organization, it is vital candidate comes with a track record of delivery and proven experience. Among the many responsibilities are listed below:
• Oversee the group monthly accounts including the preparation of financial statements.
• Prepare cash flow and management reporting activities for decision makings.
• Implement proper accounting standards guidelines, compliances, controls for the company.
• Partner closely with operations to understand any issues in the areas of corporate policies.
• Be part of the continuous improvement projects within the company.
• Liaise with external parties for for finalization of statutory financial statements.
Profile
The ideal Group Accountant will be confident in leading from the front and be responsible for the growth of the company and must posses the below requirements;
• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree or a Professional Qualification (ACCA/CPA/ICAEW
/MICPA).
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in Group Reporting, Statutory Reporting, Taxation, and system
improvements, preferably from a manufacturing industry.
• Confident with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced and aggressive environment.
• Strong analytical skills, highly motivated and results oriented.
• Open for overseas travelling when required.
